I know how overwhelming money can be because I've been there too.
Hi, I'm Marla.
I'm a food-loving, finance nerd with a passion for helping people feel confident with money.
Ten years ago I built a food truck and catering business from the ground up. Within a few years it became clear that hard work did not automatically create financial security. I was trying to survive, grow, manage payroll, organize cash flow, pay taxes, make personal financial decisions, and build a future at the same time. It was overwhelming and I constantly felt like I was shooting in the dark.
I could see how each financial decision was affecting my business and personal well-being. I had to find stability, so I became obsessed with understanding money.
Over time, the better I understood how to think and manage my finances, the better decisions I made both in my business and personal life. Now, a decade later, the results truly speak for themselves.
That experience sparked a deep passion for personal finance and ultimately led me to create Catered Financials.

Money is a tool -
but they key is knowing how to use it

Financial literacy should be empowering, not overwhelming
Most of us were never taught the skills to financially succeed. You can earn a degree, build a career, even start a business, and still find yourself guessing when it comes to money.
At Catered Financials, my approach is about making money simple and providing guidance you can trust. My approach focuses on tailored, unbiased education and support so you can gain clarity and make informed financial decisions.
Want to save for retirement? Take that dream vacation? Provide for your children's college? Buy a home?
With the right tools, even a modest budget can support big goals. Small steps can lead to meaningful progress when your financial life has direction. This isn't about sacrifice, it's about building a foundation for stability, confidence, and a life on your terms.
